Whip — Maybe I picked the wrong smiley face. I was not serious - showing profit this time in real account. (I did not capture the first big move because I was still paper trading.) Larry

Whip — If this whips me again, I think I will sit on the sidelines and do demo. (This is the sign for everyone to go live and make money. image ) Larry

Setup Bars — Tonirai: Yes that is what I mean. To me a setup bar is one that exceeds 5 pips of the EMA, even when I'm in a trade (if long, then the upper EMA: if short , the lower EMA. That way I keep moving my SL to lock in profits every 4 ...

Live — Live but small lots. My big problem is when to adjust SL and pending order when in a trade. Every Setup Bar that is more in favour of our trade?? Larry

Same Post — Since we agree, we must have done something wrong!! image

Order In — Since I was totally out of the market (just like a new entry), and the last bar was a setup bar which pierced the upper EMA by more than 5 pips, I have placed my Sell Stop at 1.4629 and its Stop Loss at 1.4760. If this new bar keeps ...

Alpari vs IBFX — No they do not have the same time. Suggest getting a Alpari demo and use the signals to trade on IBFX. That is exactly what I am doing. I do not like IBFX for a number of reasons - for one their spread is 4 instead of 3 like ...

Being Flat — Note the title. It was meant to reflect someone who was flat, ie had no position in the market. Larry

Being Flat — I believe we remove all orders, since we have no idea which way the Setup Bar will indicate (buy or sell) or fail (if not exceeding one EMA or if it touches both). We should be totally on the sidelines until Rule 1 is met. Tonirai ...

Flat and Waiting — From my understanding, and for those that are out of the market at this point, we have 2 failed reversals, so we wait for a new defined Setup (5 pips above below 5EMA) and place our buy/sell accordingly. Someone should ...

Trend Line — The downwards trendline was broke two bars ago, so one would think it may move upwards, but I still think the Dollar will remain strong (although there is no real reason for it to do so) and we may see a continued downward move. ...

Waiting for Entry — Well I missed the long entry, which everyone else is in, so I am flat. The 1600 candle was a setup candle for a short reversal, of which the 2000 failed and I'm now watching the 0000 which closes in 30 min. If that fails, I ...

Setup — Your probably right - if anything the gbp will continue to depreciate. Wish I hadn't used the 50% rule!! image

New Setup Bar — Well we have a new setup bar, but the range is really ugly, which will make for a hugh SL. Not sure I really want that much risk. Would have to reduce my position in half, at least. Larry

Still Flat — At 2000 was the setup candle and now two failed reversals. So we now withdraw our Stop Buy entry and wait for another Setup candle. Right ZZZzzzz. Larry

Updates — Hey Pitpiter - Thanks for the updates - I can now go to bed without wondering whether I needed to change my stop. That still isn't clear. I will have to re-read some of this thread.

Stop of the Pending order — XPAT: The SL is for the pending order to go short again, not the stop loss for the current position. Larry
