Wow, that is quite an impact! It might be best to avoid December all together then. Of course the argument could be from these tight ranges we get big moves because orders are thin but the problem is how long we remain in the chocking ranges.

Morning all, I've never traded currencies this time of year is it typical that December is a very quiet / sideways month? To me it seems very range bound or does it just happen to be the last few weeks and it's no necessarily the time of year?

One probably very silly question but does an EA function when MT4 is off or minimized - or does MT4 have to be fully open for an EA to work?

That was a valid retrace trade, I was so close to clicking sell at ~90 and it would have made a relatively painless 50 pips. C'est la vie!

Understood. Can I pick your brain, what would you consider the trend of the EURUSD now - still down longerterm?

v1.1 appears to be working - thanks. How do I move the read-out to the top right corner as it's currently obstructing another readout so you can't see the text?

Took another short, EURUSD M15 this time, ST 28 pips, TP ~50.

Typical now two of the BE have hit their targets and -10 hit it's target, so if I hadn't moved stops I'd be up quite a lot!

4 trades today, 3 BE and 1 Loss -10 pips. I think it's time to step away, markets are dead because of the bank holiday!

Market went +10, moved stop to above new LH. Stop originally 24pips, now down to just 10 pips.
- FxHancock replied Sep 5, 2011
FX markets are very slow today!

EURJPY short (M15). All rules met but taking some time to move in my favour!
- FxHancock replied Sep 5, 2011
I'm afraid I can't get your EA to work, as soon as the trade goes in to profit it moves the stop to BE?
