My machine have 4GB RAM which I think is a plenty. Will the ST uses a lot of RAM if the history data goes back many years? Usually I only run the ST on a sample size of two to four years only.

IBFX demo accounts last forever if it stays active, but the Account History is only available for the 30 days only. All older history will be grouped into one big deposit.

The minimum lot size for IBFX is actually 0.01 lot - but you are right because their 0.01 lot it is actually valued the same as a 0.001 standard lot, which is 1 cent per pip. Does Oanda also offer 1 cent per pip like IBFX?
