Good morning! Just curious....why are you still long on GJ. Do you expect an upturn before the BOE interest rate announcement later tonight?
- raynman replied Dec 19, 2007
Wow, my TP was hit at 2.0104 before even I am out for my appointment. Will check back when I return.

Haha..you are definitely NOT a conservative trader. Adaptive and opportunistic. Damn, and I seem to be adopting your style....for good or bad.

Yes, you are absolutely right on this score. Cable seems to defy all TA and FA analyses recently. Admittedly at this juncture, it is pure speculation on my part. Conservative traders will choose to stay out until things "normalize", if there is such ...

Shorted at 2.0154, waited patiently, and just moved my SL to BE. Waiting patiently for the long ride down. hehe. Ahhh..life is good!

Thanks boss, I have learnt a lot from you and other experienced traders participating in this thread. Syabas!

I, too, am happy with my scalped 80 pips. Cable is not responding well to TA/FA recently. Calling it a day, goodnite everyone!

So sorry to hear that my friend. Where did you set your SL? I was stopped out at 228.00 from my short at 229.15, and didn't have the guts to re-enter due to the choppiness. GJ seems to be ranging now looking for a new direction. Hope it will make a ...

I consider myself quite lucky yesterday on GJ. I set my SL at BE+115 and was stopped out during the trend reversal. I didn't trade GJ since then. I longed cable this morning at 2.0406 but I may be closing it out soon for a couple of pips.

Thanks! Not yet. Just moved my SL to BE. Most probably will ride it out until the CBI Industrial Trends Orders tonight. Cable is a bit slow though.

Fasten your seat belts. GJ is going down.....
- raynman replied Dec 13, 2007
Shorted GJ at 229.15. Let's see where it takes us.

GBP has been POUNDed left, right and centre?
- raynman replied Dec 11, 2007
Congrats, man! I was tempted to short cable at around the 2.05xx area after I closed my long, but I chickened out. It has now dipped below 2.0400!
- raynman replied Dec 11, 2007
OK, closed out at 2.0500 for +64 pips. Too dicey to trade FOMC's IR announcement. Can go either way, I think. That's it for the day. Goodnight everyone. May the pips be with you.

Maybe a change of nick to a more appropriate one will stem this tide of snide comments. Even a forex novice is ROTFLOL. hehe

Well, that is another opportunity for us to BFD. But I will hold back and wait until after GBP Trade Balance news release at 5.30pm. I will close out my long at 2.0436 before that. Capital preservation is top priority for me. Cheers!
