- New candle alert?
Anyone got anything that will make a noise when MT starts a new candle?

Pips are only half the picture. Making positive pips is necessary to be profitable, but it isnt necessarily the case. You can net pips and still make a loss. What is your risk management like? Good RM+pips=profits, bad RM+pips=loss. Im not trying to ...

Dead easy: Take $2,400,000. Put it into a 5% term deposit.

Ive got a USD/JPY cross at the moment. The cable cross is against the trend as well, so I wouldnt take it even without news. Results havent exactly been spectacular over the last couple of weeks though.

Took CAD/JPY, AUD/USD. Left AUD/JPY alone, I dont trade it (already have enough exposure in my carry trade basket).

It never ceases to amaze me how will people are to invest their capital, and how unwilling they are to invest their time. 3 weeks spent learning to trade this system is three weeks well spent.

I believe that Beach was referring to closing positions at the end of the say (as per your question). Waiting for the close refers to ENTRY rather than EXIT. You wait for the candle to close to confirm that there is an incontrovertible cross before ...

No problem at all, I, in fact, wish there was more of it (mind you, I dont exactly detail the trades I take here). Its always good to "compare notes" BTW, looks to me like CAD pairs are resuming their downtrend. Might be EUR/CAD USD/CAD signals when ...

If you look at your chart now, you will see that there is no signal at all, and, in fact, the price has retraced back up.

Yes, but wait till the start of the next candle to confirm the signal.

If you were looking to enter some long-term carry trades, a monthly (or even weekly) fozzy might be a useful tool.

Anyone taking the EUR/AUD cross?

Having just finished reading the thread over 2 weeks, I have to agree with BB. There isnt anything in the thread that isnt good. It might be possible to consider all the old trades as "out of date", however, I prefer to think of them as an excellent ...

Thanks for your concern Coolshades. Ive been trading for about 4 months now, I didnt mean for it to sound like I was trading exotics, just that relative to some of the weekend spreads on the exotics, paying an extra 8.8 pips on the EURUSD wasnt that ...

Took AUD/USD EUR/GBP and USD/CAD this morning.
- Craig2 replied Jun 19, 2007
I guess you are right Coolshades, I guess I just need to take it and get on with it. In waiting for the spread to tighen from 10 pips to 2 pips I think I lost somewhere around 15 pips, so would have been 7 pips better off just taking the weekend ...
