Hi, I am trying to work on the trade management aspect of Jame's Strategy. What I don't get is how soon after you enter a trade do you move your stop loss to Breakeven or plus 1? I trade the 4Hr time frame? Thanks!

Do you guys wait until the candlestick closes before saying the bar is a pin, buob, or other? I've noticed a lot of times where people say a pin is forming but the candle hasn't closed yet and when it does close it usually is not a pin anymore.

@StoragePro - Thanks for the great advice! @mbq - I just saw your webinar and it was very informative. I learned a lot from that one. Just of curiosity what trading platform are you using? It seems your chart is horizontally compressed. I use ...

Anyone looking at the USD/CAD? It just seems like that pair is ready to tank big time.

Anyone notice this pin on the USD/CAD. Based on my chart it looks like you could get around a 75 pips before hitting a weekly confluence level as well as trend line support. What do you guys think of my entry, stop and tp levels? I realize that this ...

When finding confluences for daily chart trades I use the monthly, weekly, and daily time frames to find pivot zones, trend lines, s/r, and fib retraces. If I would trade off the h1 or h4, do you guys recommend I still use the same time frames to ...

Thanks mbqb11 for the chart! Sorry for being newbish again, but where are the PPZ zones? I am not very good at finding these. You also referred to a swing low I'm not sure where that is.

Sorry to interrupt. I'm trying to get the concept of confluence down, but I never know how many fib retraces I should make and how far back to go on the chart. Anyone have any tips for finding good confluences areas and how far back we should look ...

Hi Jd, that looks like a weak evening doji star to me. I personally like to see a gap on the second candle in any star formation. It does have some stuff going for it like the confluence of Restistance, and the bearish third candle. But if you're ...

I think the USD/CHF has leveled off and waiting for the big news release on Tuesday. Here's a head and shoulders on the h4 that went to the projected price almost to the pip. The pattern took a week to complete, so it isn't that strong.

I knew it was going south when I saw those weird gap ups on Sunday That was just the icing, that setup had so much going for it. Congrats to all who got in.

I'm seeing the term PPZ used a lot does that stand for Price Pattern Zone?
- gannina replied Jan 25, 2009
You got that right it's a bit of both I like to get in at very good prices with minimal risk, hence my retrace entries. I miss a lot of trades this way, but it lowers my risk and I get in at good prices. I trade using Oanda, so my positions are ...

What do you guys think about this entry and stop loss for the USD/CHF. Overall I like the setup, there is a lot of confluence and validation for that pin (left out a lot of higher level retrace lines), even though it isn't the greatest looking pin. ...

Hi Ghous, thanks for the detailed explanation! Let me see if I got it. Traffic is really a lot of sideways volatility where prices are just bouncing up and down all over the place and there is no defined trend?
- gannina replied Jan 24, 2009
What does it mean if a setup is "in traffic"? I have seen people pass on setups because of being in high traffic areas.
