You're very welcome. I don't normally post, but I am between contracts at the moment so have some spare time to.. spend. I don't trade much now either, just one or two trades a week that will bring in nice profits. You're welcome to PM me and we can ...

Target reached. Enjoy your weekend :-)

For those that followed, I'm leaving my position open as it's highly likely to reach the target. Good luck all and have a nice weekend, tread carefully next week.

Like I said, today is dominated by the NFP, all other analysis/technicals/fundamentals are moot. Place your trade and check it at London close, in two hours. I expect to manually close my position when London closes if the TP is not reached, or at ...

I said what will happen in my last post, if anyone followed it they will be in profit and hopefully will stick to what I said and make a nice sum for the weekend. Expect two/three bars before a retractment, first bar closing shortly, on the hourly - ...

You saw the announcement, it does not take a genius to understand what will happen over the next couple of hours if you've followed NFP previously. You can even go back a month and look? In simple terms.... News is announced... 1. Banks counter the ...

If you've followed NFP before, you know to expect a counter to the news. Expect it to rise, it already is.

Have a look at the chart below. It's the hourly. As you can see, a lower low has formed and a lower high has matched. We're in a downtrend for today. Good luck with your pips!

Good call. I'm also waiting for a sell basket for today. I've just placed it in fact, the 5 minute chart is retracting from it's peak. It is a touch early, but I'm fairly sure the market will be dropping from now on.

[quote=dryclean;4641668] Hi Dryclean, getting late over here, so I'll post some notes up and thoughts up tomorrow. I'm still fine tuning for long and short trades, but I'll provide my WIP settings.

I've popped a daily HAS on the daily chart to illustrate the trends we are talking about. If you make a daily chart with a daily HAS it should look similar. There are also trends within the smaller time-frames. You need to get some perspective by ...

Yes, I have to admit, after playing with other indicators to see if it improves the charts, I've stripped them back to what you originally suggested. All I can add is, it's healthy to understand the wider trend within the trend you're trading, and ...

The slow upswing is starting to get confirmed by the loss of strength of the downswing in the 1hr chart. The trend for the year has been a general upswing, so this might be a good time to put a long-term buy basket on? Thoughts?
- Clanos replied May 24, 2011
Here's the 15 minute chart. Not trading it yet, but might hop on the next downswing, to catch the slow upswing movement.

[quote=Telac;4638159] Yes, I agree it's a great confirmation tool. I'm also comparing Synergy_APB with the standard candles for further confirmation, plus the Stochastic Slope to provide input on levels. All these are available from the TMS thread. ...

Exactly my thoughts over the weekend, wondering if coupling it with the TDI will help with entry/exit. Having said that, I strongly recommend using profit protect for exits.

I've gone long on the EURNZD. My first 'live' trade with this method. Hope it comes good. Good luck with EURUSD Pulled out the trade 1hr later manually. TDI went flat.

I agree with your sentiments Don, not just for BTS but for trading any strategy. Rest assured, I'm researching this method using a demo account at the moment. Many thanks for your tips. I hope you and others keep the thread alive.
