I see. I was considering building a tick database collecting the time in milliseconds, bid, ask for a given symbol through an EA with a connection to a database over an imported DLL, but I wasn't able to get the functions of the DLL to be callable ...

This is a bit off-topic, but how would you propose to get to the millisecond level within MetaTrader since the highest resolution I am aware of is from TimeCurrent() which is in seconds.

I'm just curious, how is the time kept on the system? Is it precise to the microsecond level? It seems by using TimeCurrent() you're limiting yourself to the precision on the order of seconds. Would connecting the EA to a DLL obtain higher precision ...
