Nice, can you kindly do the same for the H4 timeframe? The stats seems so close to 50/50, that is why if only we can let the win ride, and cut our losses, then we might have a winner indeed?!? Besides, if we can throw in a nice money management, who ...

^nice observation maybe. But please provide us with the numbers. The idea is to catch the trend by following the previous candle, and be tight and conservative when it reverses on us, by providing a strict SL.

Thanks for the feedback, maybe you can run the first month of 2009, so we can see if it is done as how it was supposed to? It sucks to know it lost so much, but if it does, well ...

To avoid confusion, I am posting this explanation/sample again. I am not good at words, but if a picture can paint a thousand words then, this is it: Let the SL be hit in 2 ways - either it closes in different kind - bear to bull (Jan 5), or it went ...

I just did it manually, it's Ronald the programmer who's trying to code the EA and tested it via Strategy Tester. UPDATE: Further manual testing shows it seems to work best on H4 timeframe than on D1. H1 timeframe is not good, and so is the other ...

Definitely welcome. But if you can help by testing this manually or using the EA and see if we have THE SAME results, even for Jan 2 to Jan31, 2009 only.

I am sure I must have missed something, but I loaded your "Set" Then change the lotsize to 1, TimeFrame to 60. Now question, how can I run this in StrategyTester? @Ronald Raygun, did you try to run it in Tester using the most basic setting (no ...

Maybe we can let the EA run as how this is designed to be first. Then make the enhancements as an option? Like take the trending side only? @charvo, we don't seem to have the same result? I can email to you the excel sheet, and email me your day to ...

If the SL is not hit, we stay in the game, until the candle closes. If it closed with a bear candle, then that is our SL. Next day we open SELL trade. Look at candle #5 image

@stumpy, send you an email with the excel sheet. @Ronald, I will post your latest EA on the first post ok? I am not sure, but I still can't get it to work?

I hope it is not too much to ask, but maybe you can post/upload the source code as well, so other programmer can help diagnose? I saw the yellow line now, but it won't open positions still ... I cant seem to get it to work too! Thanks a lot!

I am trying to see how MA crosses will give a good signal for ENTRY and EXIT. Btw, this EA works on all TF right? Is there a setting I should know? I used the StrategyTester on Daily GU, and it did not trigger any actions?

Great! Thanks man! That was fast! Will have this tested immediately and see how it goes! Maybe you guys can test it too, and let's compare notes. Obviously, to have better results, we must develop a good filter for entry. Now, that, is a bit way ...

Yes, SL at previous day's open. Re enter ONLY if the same trend. We did not enter a BUY on Jan 5, because Jan 2 is a SELL. Somehow, we re-enter a BUY on Jan 6, because Jan 5 is a BUY, even after we hit our SL earlier on. Keep the questions coming ...

We keep the position open, until TP or SL is reached!
