Ok, I think we can rule out the ascending triangle and consolidation for now, which leaves the double top as the most likely scenario. Wondering how low it's going to fall. Currently the 38,2% ret of 1.3262 and 1.3436 (at 1.3369), which coincides ...

I see 3 possibilities now: - double top has formed suggesting a possible continuation of the medium term downtrend (started at 1.3680) - forming of the ascending triangle suggesting a possible continuation of the short term uptrend (started at ...

I put a pending sell order at 165.04 (6 pips below 38,2% ret of 163.51 and 166.09) with a 55 pip trailing stop.

I don't see why the trend should reverse just yet. Sure the price is close to a strong resistance but it bounced off of 1.3383 (38,2% fib level of Jun 13 to Jun 19) recently and it's heading up to test the 1.3430-50 levels again. At this point I'm ...

Entered long at 1.3322 and doubled the position at 1.3400. Altogether 126 pips up so far (1.3424) The movement seems to have good momentum. Price has breached the 50% fib of Jun 05 to Jun 13 and the daily 100SMA. I see a resistance cluster ...

OK, for those who aren't sure about S/L reliability, like I was, I contacted my broker today and got a reply that stops are guaranteed throughout the trading week (Sunday 11pm through Friday 10 pm, GMT+2), so I feel safe now. I guess that's the ...

I'm curious too. Yesterday my bias was to the downside, but after the recent U/J rally and E/U meeting support at 50% fib of Jan 12 - Apr 30 candles (+/- 1.3260) I'm not so sure anymore. If E/U takes off now and U/J doesn't retrace too violently, ...

I'm tracing the price with a buy stop, waiting for a reverse. Currently have a buy order set at 1.3322 (above the most recent retracement to 1.3314 + 5 pip buffer + 3 pip spread). Will lower it to 1.3303 once the price reaches 1.3250. I think the ...

Phillip that's a great tutorial. THANK YOU! I base my trades exclusively on S/R, trendlines and fibos however from now on I'll also look at your MAs combination for a further confirmation. I checked them against the main pairs on the weekly charts ...

Hey Madison, I was actually looking for an indicator measuring the average difference between the open and the close (not the highs and the lows) of any selected number of candles on any selected time frame. For example, suppose that I'd first want ...

I've had no problems either. Haven't tried programming yet, but as far as using the built in indicators and stuff downloaded from FF goes, it runs smoothly, just like on XP.

Johnedoe, if I may drop my 2 cents in, judging by the length of the previous two upward waves on the weekly chart (the first one from 1.1830ish to 1.2980ish and the second one from 1.2480ish to 1.3360ish) and the high of 30 December 2004, I think ...

backtesting — okay, i've spent my evening (i live in GMT+1) on backtesting of the system and IMHO a good exit strategy is a must. i've manually done 200 transactions between jan and mid-may 2006 (ran out of steam) and the net result was just ...
