Be honest with yourself. The journaling really helped me to realize I wasn't doing what I should have been doing. And follow the advice they dish out on this, and the old, PASR thread; it works if you do your part.

I was in the right place 2 years ago! I posted here back then, but I kept losing trades so of course I thought there must be a better way.... now I've finally closed the loop. I even learned mql (I do dev work anyway so it wasn't that much work) so ...

The M30 and below all closed higher than that high before I entered my trade, so I'm thinking at worse the partial gets stopped at break even on a deep retrace to a higher low (I move my stop to BE after the first TP). And, of course, the bosses had ...

Finally, after a 2 year struggle, I've just passed my 3rd profitable month (I have no need to trade tomorrow). So, I just wanted to post a message of thanks. Everyone here giving advice, and reviewing charts of complete strangers, is doing God's ...

Me too. I was doing ok and got burned a few times a couple of weeks ago, now I just don't see any setups.

Is anyone on dailys anymore?
- tommyFL replied Mar 16, 2020
Are those volumes on your charts? I hope everyone's OK. I'm still following and reading charts. I've done OK the last few months but I'm still fighting myself, I will post some trades later.

Happy New Year! I'm still here reading, learning, and trading the smallest lot possible. I thought I'd taken a step forward a few months ago but lost a few % through over confidence; I will post some charts of those if I get the time. I'm still ...

Where was your stop? It should have been above the signal candle.

Can you post your chart? I suspect incorrect SL placement because on my chart the signal bar wasn't taken out yet.

Persevere if you can. Go back to the daily even though it seems boring sometimes! I got overconfident and lost on H4, the best move I've made is going back to basics on the daily. To S/R: image

GBP yesterday - thou shalt always use strict risk control.

GBPJPY Resistance to support - I had waited for a close under support at 133.5, that it did on 9/25, then I placed a stop just under that bar. I was tempted to close this yesterday:

Yeah me too! Also sometimes I move my S/L too aggressively. I had a much better September though just by going back to basics 1 s/r to the next s/r. I will do this for a few months before trying anything else.

It was 1:1, or better if you went the H4 route.

I did not. I'm very much at the beginning of the path, so take what I write with a pinch of salt; my analysis is the price, S&R, BB/B trends, and the risk. I'm sure had I left the trade open I could have got more pips, but I'm only going to the next ...

Absolutely, I will bear that in mind for next time, I need to make better use of stop orders.

I didn't give this one much room, the SL was under the confirming bar (under the 20), I felt the momentum would keep it over the 20. I'm not as focused on RR at the moment vs. taking the trade if it's within my risk limit. Suran has a better idea of ...

I was trying to avoid the lower timeframes having been stung last month, but I did that on GBPNZD last week.

I took a backward step in August trying to trade too much. So it is back to basics - support to 1st resistance, EURNZD on the daily. BB was in an uptrend, although I was worried about the 200 lurking above my resistance line at 1.7512ish but my TP ...
