Here is the new indy. Seems a little more easier to work with, but we will also need to modify our confirmation indy I think. Place this indy on a M1 chart only and see if things become more clearer. Try a 60 or 240 min TimeFrameMax, and adjust the ...

Agreed, we just need to get the basics going. I'm trying to put all the rules together for the EA. Also, I'm working on a new version of the indicator that will help eliminate the gaps between price and the lines (it's irritating to have 1-2 pips ...

We also need to figure out how to implement the M1-M15 TF's, because they are important as well. They are good for reentry after a short correction wave (this strategy goes pretty good with Elliot Wave Theory), because the higher TF's do not help ...

It's actually a simple idea. The only things we need to finalize are the confirmation indicators that we will use (stoch should definitely be one), the indicator settings and levels, the minimum and maximum TF's to follow, and maybe a couple other ...

You can trade any currency, but be aware that higher spreads will require using higher TF channels. Always start on demo first, but the H1 should be fairly safe for GU.

And also as a side note: the lower TF's do rule the roost, whereas the Daily and higher TF's are more insignificant. This is contrary to most other systems, which place more reliability on higher TF signals.

That is our next lesson. As you can see on the same chart, I have identified the H1 channel (purple). Now this is last week before the close, and the channels were getting narrower. As soon as price broke the upper H1 channel line, we would go to ...

Your chart should look like this. If you zoom out, you will see all the other channels.

Per request from Steve Hopwood, I am starting a new thread to continue his work on the Shag'emAll ...

Probably a good idea to start a new thread. I can probably handle all the leg work on this, but it would go faster if we work together and test. I'll do that tonight.

Anybody out there? — After watching this week, the strategy is practically perfect as long as we TP the first trade at the center line of the last TF channel broken. Also, using a fast stochastic for that TF will help ensure a low DD and a ...

It got quiet here. — Looks like M1 and M5 are equally important, even a sub-M1 TF would also be crucial, perhaps a renko or range bar chart. I'm working up a strategy with a minimum M15 TF, but also using the M1/M5 for confirmation and ...

The more I watch the chart, the more I suspect (as I have for a long time), that price seems to flow through each TF channel, starting with the lowest one, then jumping to higher TF's and then back again. I'm going to explore this idea: switching ...

Actually, try this template. It has more TF channels and does not have the CCI. I tried the CCI, but the lower periods are extremely hard to tame when new bars open. I would still like to include it somehow, because it is an excellent filter with ...

The Dead Shall Arise — Well, I watched this thread only briefly until it died. Since then, I came up with the same idea and I was surprised when I looked back and remembered you were trying this. What I have noticed is that price respects the ...

Steve, Any chance of continuing this project? I've been building an EA similar to this, but using slightly different settings and rules. I have the MA channel set to 3, but Linear Weighted. I'm using a progressive stochastic period to stay in a ...

My problem is that all old and new ex4 files do not show in the custom indicator list anymore. Maybe I need to reinstall the platform, because only mq4 files are there. I was just hoping for an easy setting in MT4 to switch but can't find anything.

I realize this a stupid question, but do we need to worry about changing the pip values in the parameters for a 4-digit broker anymore? Seems like we covered that before, but brain cells decay over time. Thanks. Also, does anybody know how to get ...

Another good solution is to use this equation: mathfloor (Lots/Lotstep) x lotstep. This will round down to an acceptable lot step (divisible by .05 or whatever). Example: 2.17 will then be 2.15

My FXDD dumped all 5 as well, but hedged 3, with 2 positive at the dump. Let's pray that Steve's bug spray has a little juice left.
