Iso, thanks for this food for thought, glad to hear I'm atleast on the right track. I will ponder on what you said, I'm going to give those truth tables a closer look as well. Thanks again, nate

General Correlation Question — I'm not entirely sure this belongs here, but maybe someone wouldn't mind taking a stab at this.. I'm still a pretty big fx newb around here so please bear with me. First, is this a basically correct understanding ...

From what I have read, it seems it would be madness to maintain an account size even much into 6 figures, let alone 7, with any particular FXbroker given that the funds aren't guaranteed. Not that I really know, but thats the impression I've gotten ...

Actually you can get a better explanation of it from the man himself: url Check out post 150 by Vegas. Also this is a fantastic thread, huge I know, but well worth the read. nate

Hi clam To be honest, I can't really say for sure why Vegas went long there. The text from VWBII in question can be found below. The only thing I can think is that it was a kind of hedge. Price was moving towards what could have been seen as ...

ok, well I just restarted my system for the heck of it (no other noticeable problems) and now IBFX seems to be back to normal, but SBFX is still on the fritz.. so strange
- MT4 Hangup - ibfx, sbfx not trading
For some reason neither IBFX nor SBFX will let me place any orders, instant or pending, on MT4 ...

Exactly! This is exactly what I was trying to say, clumsy as it was. Awesome. I think your second point below is where columns J and N get factored in, although Vegas didn't really talk about it. I would say point 3 below is also mostly correct, but ...

Of course it's possible. But the laws of probability still apply... Honestly, when I said it took me days to wrap my head around this, I was serious. And I'm not going to lie, I don't think of myself as terribly slow. You are really going to have to ...

No, because 75% of the time, the Nearest End is within 30 pips of the open. So there is only a 25% chance that it would be 31 (or more) pips away. nate

Look at the example again: EX: -------------------------- AAA/BBB (fake pair) Median Range = 100 pips Median Open to Nearest End = 20 pips Median Open to Nearest End of Those > 20 pips = 30 pips --------------------------- 50% of the time the NE ...

Columns J and N — Columns J and N also provide useful information, but I don't think they are necessarily required to make the claims, to re-quote Vegas: It’s very clear from the data that you can make the following conclusions: Excluding ...

Assuming we agree on my last statement, I think I can now safely comment on this - while dropping from 1.5081 to 1.4981 would satisfy the range, this would result in the Nearest End to the Open being 31 pips away. While this is certainly possible, ...

Hey clam np, this is probably helping me as much as it is you.. and I definitely understand what vegas meant when he said it would be too long to explain! But I'm trying anyway, lol. Now I want to break this down b/c I think otherwise it might just ...

I think its like this. — I'll give this a try since I remember spending days staring at that spreadsheet in VWBII trying to figure it all out myself. Also I think it will do me good to be thinking over this again - thanks! Lets see.. and this ...

no harm done! infact i think it is good for me to be challenged on ideas like this because it forces me to examine whatever i'm saying that much more closely. a very good thing at a time when I'm trying to understand as much as possible. so thank ...

Believe it or not, I read all of the posts in this thread before saying anything. I thought I was merely adding to what you had already said. This is clearly my mistake. I think I noted that.. here: In regards to this: When did I ever imply negating ...

I think one of us has some misunderstandings. I would at first be inclined to think that were myself, given that I have exactly ZERO forex trading experience (your reference to me having a trading style is kinda funny). However! You seem to be ...
