Send me a PM with your email address and I'll email them to you. If you tell me what broker you're interested in I can check the list or do a search to confirm that they are an MT4 broker.

The server time is set up on the server in a few stages. Network Time Protocol synchronization for all servers is first, then an offset is chosen. The hourly offset is a broker specific setting for the server. I like how FXDD set their offset to ...

If you download MT4 from MetaQuotes.net they pseudo randomly assign you to a broker for demo accounts. The only way to know which broker you will get on a fresh download is to download MT4 from the broker you want. I've been stockpiling .srv files, ...

I haven't used ATC brokers, but I couldn't determine from their limited documentation if they even give you MT4 on Currenex. If they managed to get a data feed scripted then that is not crazy to consider. If they announce MT4 on Currenex, I'd want ...

If you have source code to a strategy, I could probably rewrite it to work on ECN after I get the FIX integration finished. That could happen in a few days or a few weeks depending on how long it takes to get the FIX API C++ to Python Gateway ...

I saw a link back to my thread about ECN on 'another forum' that I started. I've been writing a platform integrating using FIX and MT4 as agents for the platform. I don't like using MT4 as an agent because it is slow, has discrepancies, consumes ...

I'm having difficulty getting responses from MBTrading regarding FIX and that is how I want to do automated trading. They won't even tell us if we're allowed to connect test code to the demo server :/

You probably have a big gap near the end of september in your data. I recommend using the broker you trade with as your data source for optimization. Brokers have very different prices, spiking, dynamic spreads, etc.

Phoenix Main site is forex-tsd.com/phoenix/ and I recommend 5.7.0 stable.

I still haven't picked a trending indicator for Phoenix6. Ideally the indicator would show a strong sustained trend, and ignore news spikes. Most ideally, it would also show when the trend is weakening. Our indicator could come in very late on the ...

USDCHF has custom settings: Mode3_TakeProfit = 130; Mode3_StopLoss = 80; So yes, that is correct for the currency.

Phoenix has had both loosing and winning streaks with short term large movements in the market. Generally speaking, a counter trend system should be trend aware and avoid trying to swim up a waterfall. Phoenix is not yet trend aware, but now that ...

I don't know what the comment Sidus means, and I haven't seen it in the code at all. The most current version 5.7.0 seems to be stable for mode 3 for hundreds of users. There are major changes in mode3 from 5.6.7 to 5.7.0. Most notably, it works as ...

For only 1 trade, switch to Mode1. To make the lot size 0.1 lots, please set Lots=0.1 and MM=false. A new version 5.7.0 is available for all people wanting to use Mode3. forex-tsd.com/phoenix/

I did hear of a broker that let you trade in pennies. I can look it up if anyone is interested. The main issue with the mentality of "let it grow slow" is some people have good EA, but don't have the $1000 to open a good mini account. This is ...

Each broker sets their own prices, so prices don't agree even between MT4 brokers. I don't know what broker you have, but out of dozens of brokers most have issues. There are a few like FXDD that have reliable spreads. (IBFX does not.) There are ...

You can edit the .set files with a text editor and then reload them. I was able to get the Editor working in CodeWeavers beta, but it did not have code completion. I am able to run multiple copies of the EA as well. Adding the DLL and winding font ...

I'd recommend trading it on a real money account for at least a month as well, but FXDD has consistent spreads while IBFX Ask-Bid values range between 2-9 often. You can do a few things to raise more funds to trade with: #1 sell it on ebay. Hard to ...

There were several bugs with all of the "Mode 3" versions. We have eliminated several but a few remain. This one appears to be an "innocent" error, not affecting trading but increasing needless chatter with the broker. I will try to fix it this week ...
