I've coded an alert indicator for when all criteria are met.

The criteria for my indicator you can see for yourself if you add it but I will just re-iterate it here for everyone. You can see it for yourself with the arrows on your screen to SEE that those are the criteria required. The price action is based ...

Last time I checked this was a community, i'm contributing to the thread and what i'm adding is more common sense or aesthetic changes. Technical changes are easy to implement but predictive things require a creative approach which ANY member could ...

Well sed34 you saw my eur/usd analysis in progress. In realtime it hit my TP and if I stayed in would be 32 pips in profit instead which exceeds my next TP bracket for that pair which is 27 pips. I did not use moving average or hull Just the Coral, ...

You mean as soon as the price has broken through the cloud/t3? Yes, it's easily done. As for once per trade direction that may be a tad tricky. Can't think of a way to do it off the top of my head, give me a bit to think about that. If anyone has ...

I coded it so every candle that meets the criteria the arrow will pop up. So yes that will mean that sequential candles will get the arrow because those candles continually meet the criteria. I do not know the conditions that cobra's analyze ...

And there we have it, price shoots up and we are already 15 pips profit. Ignoring the trix however did not give me any confidence in this. Being so close to a support line and new possible trend formation I perhaps should have waited for a re-test. ...
- Omniferum replied Jan 14, 2009
Price has re-tracted to candle entry price and shows signs of continuing. New candle just formed triggering my alarm, trix was met and all other criteria. Candle no longer meets criteria but alarm was met regardless, arrow keeps repainting. Arrow ...

What is the dark blue line on your chart? A moving average? You seem to have two THV Coral indicators on your chart, any reason as to why? Otherwise yeah, I personally put the grid on mine (ctrl+g) as it helps me zoom in on things. Testing the trix ...

Should perhaps point out that I am utilizing trix above 0 rule, not caring which line has dominance (red/green) Setup should be valid on 16:05 GMT
- Omniferum replied Jan 14, 2009
EUR/USD M5 The setup is coming, at least I can see it pretty much going to form at least the tail end of a rise. Making it worth about 15. I'm just watching it to see how my indicator reacts
- Omniferum replied Jan 14, 2009
I do believe that EUR/USD setup is going to be valid, worth at least 15 pips. That's just a pat observation though

As i've said before though the only alert in the THV V2 are with the coral and trix and both those alerts are indicator specific i.e. only when that indicator has met the criteria. No visual aid for backtesting either. Unless there is another alert ...
- Omniferum replied Jan 14, 2009
As the alert is triggered at open/close the price displayed would just be the open/close price of the candle so you just need the time for you to know it.
- Omniferum replied Jan 14, 2009
Doesn't really make any difference, the open of the next candle is the close of the previous candle. So if you are waiting for the close you are obviously waiting for the open which MUST match the exact criteria as the previous one, in terms of time ...
- Omniferum replied Jan 14, 2009
The alert is more for you to pay attention, whether you get in on the open or close you still need to pay attention to the opening criteria of a candle
- Omniferum replied Jan 14, 2009
Actually is it based on the price or the heiken aishi position opening?
- Omniferum replied Jan 14, 2009
Edited to match the revised instructions, arrow now paints when bar opens above/below t3 AND cloud
- Omniferum replied Jan 14, 2009
Comments regarding my indicator would be appreciated, that's more or less what i'm hanging around for so I can tweak it as necessary. Page 148 on this thread if anyone is curious.
- Omniferum replied Jan 14, 2009
The only alert indicators I can find in the THV V2 is when coral changes color and when trix crosses. The only one that paints any arrow is the Coral. My indicator paints an arrow when the above criteria are met which are the VITAL criteria ...
