I understand how the the Fed Fund, Discount, and Prime rate relate to each other, but my main question is does the 3% difference between the Fund and Prime rate ever change or is it constant? Does it grow when banks have a lot of risk? If it does ...

MFE article — Just so everyone can understand the power of MFE analysis I found a great article that explains it really well. I'm not sure if I can link this file here, but its worth a shot. If its not allowed, sorry to the moderators... I ...

Thanks for taking the time to look through it. The inner workings are a little long and burdensome and the fact that you found these errors shows you know how to code well. Very tricky. I was working on this for days quite some time ago and couldn't ...

Metatrader is much like programming in the C language. Its just like coding any other application. There are plenty of examples on this site (some are well written and some are not). You just have to work at it and take the time to learn. If I can ...

Thanks. I can't tell you how much time this has saved when developing new systems. Instead of writing output code for every EA I make, I just put these functions in my code and I have instant statistics I can use to optimize. It saves SOOO much ...

I think its available for 3.0 but definitely not for 4.0.

I feel your pain. There's a lot of stuff to weed through and most of the information out there is not trustworthy. You have really have to do a lot of research. The best thing I can say to you about choosing a broker is to learn the difference ...

Hey Tesla, I'm trying to do the same thing, but my coding skills are a little rough. I spent a few days figuring out how to make a dll in c# only to find out that c# dll's are managed code and mt4 can't call those. Learned that one the hard way. I ...

Tradestats files — Here they are. I'm unable to upload csv files so I renamed TrendFriendv1_tradestats.csv to TrendFriendv1_tradestats.txt. Just change the extension back to csv and everything should be fine.

Watching CNBC myself, but I've been getting this recorded show about innovative Chinese businesses... in Chinese. Very strange. They cut back to the normal feed when CPI came out, but now they're back to the Chinese businesses again. Anyone else ...

Where are you finding the quotes for these futures?
- Loopy replied Jun 15, 2007
The economic data for the past week seems to be positive for both the pound and the dollar, but a little more positive for the dollar. Only UK CPI and Average Earnings came in negative. All dollar data has been positive. So assuming that dollar's ...

From this article it looks like the ECB is going to raise rates while the BoJ is going to keep them level. This is carry trade positive right? Longterm implications being that the EJ will rise?

I took a look at that a little while ago. I didn't see any graphs and you can only look at it for a few seconds before it goes to a please-buy-our-service page. I guess its better than nothing for free though On another note... dow opens -.1%. ...

Yea, I've taken a look at them, but they're somewhat delayed. I was just wondering if there were any real-time quotes. Is this just wishful thinking on my part?

Market indices — I'm wondering what the most accurate and speedy way to find out the market indices (sp500, djia, ftse, nikkie...). What does everybody use? I know yahoo, reuters, and bloomberg have quotes, but they're 15-20 minutes delayed. ...

Again, excuse my noobieness. What do you mean by 'rolling carries'? Buying yen crosses?
- Loopy replied May 18, 2007
I understand, but wouldn't that affect all crosses across the board... not just the NZDJPY? I understand if there's no real answer to my question. I'm just wondering if you have anymore insight on the issue. Thanks again.
- Loopy replied May 18, 2007
I wasn't trying to make it sound simple. Sorry if I did. It may be a stupid question, but what is stopping people from jumping on the NZDJPY carry trade? Again, thanks for taking the time to answer my questions. You've been saving me hours of ...
