close to my 12650 area where I’m gonna sell however I’d have expected a rise above 12550 by now
- BeeTogether replied May 10, 2024
agreed. I think the pound is looking very heavy and could drop hard. Although I do believe we need a rise to give it a decent area to drop from. But the signs for 124 look better than 127. I could be wrong though

bulls did nothing with any of the data earlier surely the bears will take advantage unless it’s a painful slow fry day

And finally some good UK news surely that will take us back to the happy land… 12650 still TP but not enough from a spike perspective that will happen today. Not much data left today either.

same as mine.. still need to finish above 125 for that. BoE was a drab today. Nothing from it at all.
- BeeTogether replied May 9, 2024
yup… markets we’re looking for a rate cut, got nothing and it seems it’s still unclear when it will be. Market thinking back to groundhog days. My TP is now at 12650 for the rest of the week. If it gets there I will go watch shopping again

need a might rocket to get out of this for the bulls! @pat that trapdoor is getting rotten it needs to be bolted lol. 126 not on my 4H for time being.

a long way to go.. 200 pips maybe by next week but all depends
- BeeTogether replied May 9, 2024
R3 maybe before a move back up else it’s down to 124
- BeeTogether replied May 9, 2024
Now that was a bit of an anticlimax lol

it’s not good for the bulls tbh. Last week we spiked to over 12630 and then like a lead balloon dropped harder than the extras in a Tarantino film! bulls may see a spike up if BoE is mildly hawkish but the risk of dropping below 124 seems probable ...

problem seems to be the noise from the press calling for cuts. Hence the drop. However any hint of a rate cut delay could send us back to 126. It is the major data of the week if I’m not mistaken.

news feed saying BoE might be more dovish hence the drop over the last few days. Tomorrow could be back to 12550 or back down to 12380 depending on where we end the day. bulls are failing to gain any momentum to even push above 125

The pound dropping nearly 130 pips Mondays high gives me a liquidity grab for tomorrow. Also therefore if tomorrows BoE announcement is as expected I can’t see a big spike up to 127 as the push could only cover 50-150 pips.

Time for the move up!
