Hello parameswara, I came across a thread which you had started in 2007!! The thread was titled: "Perpetual travelers and tax on forex". I came across that thread for obvious reasons; I too am curious about doing this. Here's my situation; I live in Canada and from what I understand, if I cease holding onto assets and bank accounts, vehicles, and any ties to Canada, I could give up my residency. My plan would then be to travel to countries, typically in Asia and SEA to trade from while I am on tourist visas (obviously, the longer the stay, the better). Additionally, I have heard of some countries (ie. Thailand) that will allow a person to "retire" if you can confirm ~$20k in your bank account.
My question to you is, have you pursued this dream of yours and have you learned anything new since the time of your thread that may be helpful and critical to me making this transition and dream smooth going. I would really like to hear about your experience. Cheers, Cory
