Weekly preview - US doubts in focus
The dollar was able to strengthen against European currencies in the final few days of 2015 despite some disappointing data, but a significant element is likely to have been year-end window dressing and the US currency will be vulnerable to at least a limited setback over the next few days with doubts over US prospects liable to increase. Crucial US data releases and the Fed minutes over the week as a whole will then be crucial for overall first-quarter dollar direction.
