Spanish growth accelerates in December to five-month high
The recent upturn in the Spanish services economy continued during December, with activity rising modestly for a fourth month in a row. Higher volumes of new business supported the rise in activity and firms were suitably encouraged to take on additional staff at a faster rate. Confidence in the future remained positive, although rates of inflation remained elevated and above longterm trend levels.
