Canada CPI Preview: Forecasts from four major banks, inflation could edge back within BoC’s target range
Statistics Canada will release November Consumer Price Index (CPI) data on Tuesday, December 19 at 13:30 and as we get closer to the release time, here are the forecasts by the economists and researchers of four major banks regarding the upcoming Canadian inflation data. Headline is expected at 2.9% year-on-year vs. 3.1% in October. Core trim is expected to fall two ticks to 3.3% YoY and core median is expected at 3.3% YoY vs. the prior release of 3.6%.
