US CPI Preview: Forecasts from 10 major banks, strong headline with rising energy prices
The US Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) will release the most important inflation measure, the US Consumer Price Index (CPI) figures, on Wednesday, September 13 at 12:30 GMT. As we get closer to the release time, here are the forecasts by the economists and researchers of 10 major banks regarding the upcoming United States inflation print for the month of August. Headline is expected at 3.6% year-on-year vs. 3.2% in July, while core is expected at 4.3% YoY vs. 4.7% in July. On a monthly basis, headline and core CPI are seen at 0.6% and 0.2%, respectively.
