Foreigners make biggest weekly Japan bond purchases in more than a year
Foreign investors bought the largest amount of Japanese government bonds in more than a year in the latest week as upward pressure on global yields eased amid signs that U.S inflation was moderating. Data from Japan's Ministry of Finance show that foreign investors bought a net 2.2 trillion yen ($15.86 billion) of JGBs with maturities of more than one year in the week ended Nov. 19, the largest purchases since July 2021.
