In January 2022 estimates for seasonally adjusted index of retail trade fell in the month on month series, decreasing by 0.5% in value terms and by 0.7% in volume terms. In the three months to January 2022 there was no growth for value of sales, while volume of sales was down 0.5% when compared with the previous three-month period. In January 2022 both value and volume of retail trade continued to grow for the 11th month in a row in the year on year series.
