Second quarter of 2021: Exports hit new high
Swiss foreign trade was on the upswing in the second quarter of 2021. Exports reached a new high with additional deliveries of 3.2 percent. After the slump at the beginning of the corona pandemic, this represented the fourth quarterly increase in a row. Imports continued the development of the previous quarter and rose by 3.8 percent. The trade balance closed with a surplus of CHF 11.5 billion.In the second quarter of 2021, exports continued their upward trend and grew seasonally adjusted by 3.2 percent or 1.9 Billion francs (real: + 1 percent).
