In February 2018 compared with February 2017 visitor arrivals were up 43,400 to 423,500. The biggest changes were in arrivals from: • China (up 35,200) • United States of America (up 3,700) • Hong Kong (up 2,200) • Germany (down 1,900). Overseas trips by New Zealand residents were up 3,700 to 151,100. The biggest changes were in departures to: • China (up 3,300) • United States of America (up 1,500) • Australia (down 1,000).
