US Dollar Index (DXY) Holding Steady Ahead of Data
The US Dollar Index (DXY), which measures the greenback’s strength against a basket of six major currencies, is little changed in today’s session, as traders await the 08:30 ET data releases out of the US. DXY is currently trading at 97.29, a gain of 0.10% over Thursday’s close. Durable Orders and the second estimate for Q1 GDP are both on today’s calendar. Durable Orders is expected to come in at -1.8% for April, following a reading of 0.7% in March.
