How Spain became the West’s superstar economy
While the rest of the world may be struggling to produce growth, Spain managed to grow its GDP by 0.9pc in just the first three months of the year. With output rising at three times the pace seen in the UK, the European economy has drawn attention to itself. In the same period it has grown 18 times faster than the US, and analysts expect the eurozone as a whole to have mustered growth of just 0.4pc in the timeframe.
