UK Manufacturing Expands At Highest Rate Since Feb 2011
The UK factory sector expanded rapidly in November, growing at its fastest pace since February 2011 as job creation hit a two-and-a-half year high. The CIPS/Markit manufacturing PMI hit 58.4 in November after slipping to 56.0 in October from 56.2 in September. The reading marks an eighth successive month of expansion. The reading was comfortably above an MNI median forecast of analyst expectations for a 56.1 reading. The domestic market remained the main source of order growth, CIPS/Markit said.
