- Biography:
- My first share and bullion trades were around 1975 in Canada, and I have been in the Industry now for over 30 years. I am a partner in a few oil wells, which are producing nice royalties. Also been an offshore bank owner, but sold while it was good. I still practice in offshore legal structures and corporate planning.
I am a full time trader on my own corporate account, using IB. I studied Economics and History at University, and have been an avid reader over the decades, more since my contrarian concerns have been in alert mode before 1999. This credit melt down is far worse than 1987 by my view.
I can read and trade a naked chart, but like to put my trend lines and channels on, plus mark wave counts so I can follow written trade plans. I follow COT sentiment, and skim/aggregate news fundamentals for a feel of the market swings.
My only Tech indicator is MACD, used just to confirm divergence, convergence, and momentum loss.
My favorite trade setup is the ending contracting diagonal triangle found frequently in waves 5 and C. It is easy to identify and validate, low risk/high return, and very reliable - 8/10 times.
