You should have known better. NY is known to often go the opposite direction of whatever the trend has been in London/Tokyo. Of course sometimes it carries on with the same trend but usually it flips once NY opens. Best thing to do is close just before NY opens and then look to reenter. Sorry to hear that

You must be new to trading gold. It doesn’t always go the direction you’d think it should regardless of data affecting DXY or geopolitical situation. Moreover, the rally from 4400 I believe was just a relief rally and the trend is still down for me. Still further corrections to come imo. Good luck and be careful

Is anyone else experiencing issues with tradovate? I checked their server status, it says its all good but I cant login and it gives a Maintenance issue.

Alright as a old time trader , may i ask what driven gold actually , i know the correction need to be done but all i can say , the thing i learn nothing work for me , when the data should be bearish gold going rocket , when the data should be bullish they go down ,like the fuck is happening ?

Nothing is happening. Price can make extreme moves now that range was expanded on gold. Expect wild swings anytime.

If we close below Tue Low and EMA cluster, looking to short to Yesterday Lows.
DXY has been accumulating above PrevWeekHigh with a FVG at 98.3
Waiting for this hourly close before entry.

My view on current gold and silver is that- I can see a lot of 'street is excited that it is the bargain cause the price dropped- have in mind that all people who were in long positions for some time either blowed accounts, lost profits or are keeping the loss.
My perspective is I see a lot places where information is about huge amount of buys. If I would be institutional I would play against it- just to swing the price to force people to close their buys and start positioning to shorts and then start heavy buying in order to consume their positions again - it is all psychology. Institutions can still hold longs but they were either hedged or scaled down or they don't care about this short term movement. But retail on leverage.... That is a different pair of socks.
Currently I am in selling and already have what I do usually when I expect a little longer move - have a main position when it becomes profitable I create a number of small positions on the way to my first targets and beyond it.

I trade only on mobile phone- my analysis is super simple in my opinion and based what I see here in some topics- market sentiment (secret ingredient to have expectation for the main direction) and some price action, levels, technical analysis like lines or channels etc. I also observe if can see unusual behavior on volume with my broker (I know what people say about it but for me it is extra info especially during anomalies).

So... My trades like on attached screen at the moment - numerous sell trades opened and sell stop orders pending to be filled.
I observe the market and react if I see it necessary.

My main target at the moment is area 4900-4880 - I can close if I don't understand what's going on/switch to buy if I see reversal.
Possible deeper movement? I have no clue - I react on what's going as I am no fortune teller
