My impression, though, is that
I just discovered something, from all this slight rewriting.
- There's resistance anchors --
0 angle - 1 divergence - 2 opposition - 3 compromise - 4+ series
-- that may replace line patterns. - With pressure (symmetry*size*speed diff) is inequity:
- and pressure line(s):
Record
logr / trendline / one-logr ellipse / fan / parallel horizontal or vertical lines of fibonacci or similar distance;
midline / trend centerline / corner / multi-length run / equidistant parallel horizontal or vertical lines;
ellipse,
copy proxy (three copies of a pattern, TL on high and low of each, TL's crossed at one point, point taken to a balance point, some TL's useless (a proxy for the others) and others not) ,
w/mixed logr-midline areas - pressures take on anchors --
deform -- stretch, flat, simple, fill, cup
surround -- news;
size -- 'starting with small-candle groups '
While 'corner' was valid, I was mixing the drawn lines with the patterns; that is, 'corner' works just as well in a range with trend centerlines and midlines as it does with ... patterns, view-dependent ways to describe patterns, view-dependent ways to describe
I guess my problem is relating this in a proper order:
ANCHOR: Find, ,
0 angle, angled trends, 1 divergence (corner, 2 opposition; small X&Y-axis balance; two interlaced series; channel; 3 compromise two, with a third after and in the middle;; >3 series micro-reason traces, calls turn

Okay, here it is:
align -- logr / trendline / one-logr ellipse / fan / parallel horizontal or vertical lines of fibonacci or similar distance;
midline / trend centerline / corner / multi-length run / equidistant parallel horizontal or vertical lines;
w/mixed logr-midline areas: ellipse,
copy proxy (three copies of a pattern, TL on high and low of each, TL's crossed at one point, point taken to a balance point, some TL's useless (a proxy for the others) and others not)
deformation -- VSA standardized this feature of patterns.
stretch, jump, spike, rebound;
fill, cup, castle, hash;
center, balance, tip, dip, level, flat;
expand, build, combine, catalyze, stack;
contract, simplify, deconstruct, divide, fade, drain.
volatility -- one-candle vs. all other, noting every feature of that one candle, useful with MTF single candles;
small-candle groups vs. large-candle groups;
large vs. small areas, irrespective of size of candles, having a pattern;
one- vs. intermittent-area pattern;
layer of information, old, detached reason within several patterns vs, repeated inside entirety of each pattern vs. basic utility of pattern vs. nearby others
opt'lly here, INTERACTION ff-gut-bb
direction-- symbols . (object), o (role, personal space, etc.), ~ (action path), | (boundary, two-point leverage), or (frame) (artificial/working area). When I say 'direction', I mean that ".|_" excludes an object from an enclosed area, "-><-" (where a vector is a cross between an action path, which has inherent energy, and two matched two-point leverages, which corner that energy), "~" taken literally is balance, and so on.
opt'lly here, ACTION AREA: Path sketch/auto-do, var. chart-action vs. w/dist. to shape own scenario and scenario meditations: hypnosis, W. Wenger, Ecstatic Postures, Freeze-Frame, mental rehearsal, etc. before start work.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I think I'll use r:r as a sounding post for how well I'm doing, and I'll define r:r as TL met vs. in-trade drawdown allowed. This would be the usual; early exit modifies both sides. I'll shoot for at least 1:1, optimal 4:1 (read it in a couple of places).

r:r guides how I trade, defined as maximum in-trade drawdown from entry vs. exit from entry, measured only for profits. All losses are MAE, that is, maximum in-trade drawdown from entry vs. exit from entry. Thus, adding all trades' r:r and MAE, as defined just now, gives an ability record in percentiles and can be followed in one's mind, charted and studied.
Ideally, I compare two ranks, which measure reason (=1) to luck (< (good) > (bad) 1):
. how close, from .01 to .1, I got to fully understanding the basic underlying motion of the shortterm-intraday 1' chart, before the trade closed, and how well the trade reflected this
. the distance between the open and the close, divided by the distance between the open and the maximum potential profit, both in pips.

I try and use all of the pattern languages over several studies, and study several popular symbols, to warm up before any serious trading at whatever level. Or, I'll keep trading gu on simulator until I hit 7-10 trades.
