I would like to start a thread where members simply post a link to another post they found particularly insightful or useful. I believe this would be very helpful to traders, new and not so new.
I have spent countless weekends reading page after page of endless threads with provocative titles such as "How to start finally making money" only to be frustrated reading post after post with cryptic anecdotal stories or lots of "bravo" or "Me too!" or or or . Sometimes it can feel like attending a 3 month strip-tease and in the end she doesn't flash her t*ts.
No Socratic method, no Eastern teaching style (when the student is ready the teacher will appear) yada yada ... Just simple links to helpful posts. Yes, we are all aware that this info in the wrong hands is dangerous. But anyone that has traded for a while knows that there are no holy grails, no easy answers, no quick money.
The only way to become a successful trader is through the school of hard knocks. And I am not talking about practice accounts. I am referring to the world of trading real money. One has to actually experience the "kicks when you are down" of the market in real time in order to internalize its lessons. In the meantime experienced traders can try to ease the pain with helpful advice.
I thank you in advance for taking time to contribute.
