Japanese Finance Minister Jun Azumi said the nation can’t overlook rising currency speculation as the yen advanced for a sixth day against the dollar, drawing closer to a post-World War II record. “Speculative moves are increasing in the market and we can’t overlook them,” Azumi told reporters in Tokyo today. “We are ready to take decisive actions if necessary.” The yen traded at 76.17 per dollar as of 9:34 a.m. in Tokyo, up about 2 percent since the advances began on Jan. 26 and drawing closer to October’s high of 75.35.
