The procure.ch Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) fell by 5.9 points in March 2020 (see Fig. 1). With a level of 43.7 meters, the PMI has been at a lower level than it has been since July 2009. For comparison: At the bottom of the financial crisis, the PMI for industry was 32.9 points (March 2009), the strongest index slump was in November 2008 when the PMI fell by 10.2 points. (full story)
