Survey of Expectations, December 2019 quarter

A net 80.6% of respondents believe current monetary conditions are easier than neutral. This is up from a net 78.7% in the previous quarter’s survey. A net 83.3% of respondents believe monetary conditions in one year’s time will be easier than neutral. House prices are expected to grow at 4.51% in one year’s time. This is an increase from 2.71% reported in the previous quarter’s survey. 68.0% of respondents expect one year ahead house price inflation to be more than 3.0%.
