Consumer prices in June 2019: +1.6% on June 2018

Consumer prices in Germany rose 1.6% in June 2019 compared with June 2018. The Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) also reports that the inflation rate - as measured by the consumer price index - was slightly up. In May 2019, it had been +1.4%. Compared with May 2019, the consumer price index rose by 0.3% in June 2019. The Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) thus confirms its provisional overall results for the CPI.
