In April 2018, French consumer prices increased by 1.6% year on year

Over a year, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) should increase by +1.6% in April 2018, as in the previous month, according to the provisional estimate made at the end of the month. This stability in the year-on-year inflation should result from a sharp acceleration in energy prices, and to a lesser extent, in food products prices, offset by a slowdown in the prices of services.
