US wholesale inventories rise 0.3 percent, meeting expectations

U.S. wholesale inventories were expected to rise in September, though at a slower pace than in recent months. A survey of economists from Thomson Reuters forecast an increase in wholesale inventories of 0.3 percent in September. The measure of merchant wholesalers' sales and inventories value rose 0.8 percent in August, according to the U.S. Census Bureau. (full story)
