A rogue trader who brought down a centuries old bank has said the 14-year prison sentence for City worker who rigged the Libor rate is a 'bit heavy'. Nick Leeson spent three and a half years in prison in Singapore for a series of unauthorised dealings which led to the collapse of Barings Bank in 1995 after they suffered a £827million loss. Now the former trader, who works as an after-dinner speaker, has spoken out after former UBS trader Tom Hayes was yesterday jailed for 14 years at Southwark Crown Court.
