In April 2015, merchandise goods exports were valued at $4.2 billion, down $240 million (5.5 percent) from April 2014. The highest value for exports for an April month was $4.7 billion in April 2011. Milk powder, butter, and cheese (our largest export commodity group) fell $323 million (27 percent) to $888 million, with the quantity up 1.2 percent. Despite the fall, this group accounted for one-fifth of the value of total exports in April 2015.
