Eurozone March Inflation Slows To Four-Year Low 0.5%

Eurozone inflation slowed to the lowest level more than four years in March, according to the first estimate of consumer prices in the region published Monday by Eurostat, adding extra pressure to the European Central Bank as it prepares for its monthly policy meeting this week in Frankfurt. The euro area's harmonized index of consumer prices slowed to an annual pace of 0.5% for March, Eurostat estimated, from a final reading of 0.7% in February.
