Summly’s 17-Year-Old Founder Becomes a Millionaire

Nick D’Aloisio became a millionaire at 17 after selling Yahoo! Inc. (YHOO) on a mobile-phone application he devised two years ago at his home in London. The biggest U.S. Web portal said yesterday that it’s buying Summly, an app that makes it easier to read online news on small screens, without disclosing financial terms. Yahoo is paying $30 million, a person familiar with the transaction said.
