Greek prime minister George Papandreou has survived a confidence vote in parliament after calling for the formation of a unity government. Mr Papandreou won the 151 votes required to keep the prime ministership this morning, even after signalling he may stand down. Earlier he called for a new coalition government to approve a bailout deal vital for saving the country from bankruptcy and tackling the eurozone's economic crisis.
