Bank of America has backpedaled on a $5 per month debit card usage fee after heavy public outcry. The Charlotte-based bank says a changing competitive marketplace and listening to its customers are the reasons why. Bank of America customer Johnnie Peterson says had the bank moved forward with the debit card usage fee, he would have found a new bank.
