Somebody’s hedge fund might be blowing up right now. Silver, which was already having an awful day, started taking it even harder in the past half an hour, on very heavy volume. It’s now down nearly 17% to $30.495 an ounce. Gold is off 5.3%, or $93, to $1649.20 an ounce. Grim. (full story)
