Brent, US crude futures drop on IEA stocks release

Brent and U.S. crude futures fell further Thursday in volatile trading after the Paris-based International Energy Agency said there would be a release of oil stocks of 60 million barrels over 30 days. ICE Brent August crude LCOQ1 was down $5.21 at $109 a barrel by 9:16 a.m. EDT (1316 GMT), having dropped as low as $108.10 after retreating from an earlier peak of $113.40. On the New York Mercantile Exchange, August crude CLQ1 fell $3.70 to $91.71 a barrel, trading from $90.32 to $94.47.
