According to preliminary information from the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis), real (price-adjusted) production in the manufacturing sector fell by 1.6% in December 2023 compared to November 2023, seasonally and calendar adjusted. In a less volatile three-month comparison, production from October to December 2023 was 1.8% lower than in the previous three months. In November 2023, production fell by 0.2% compared to October 2023 after revision of the preliminary results (preliminary value: -0.7%).
