The first estimate for euro area exports of goods to the rest of the world in October 2023 was €246.9 billion, a decrease of 2.4% compared with October 2022 (€252.9 bn). Imports from the rest of the world stood at €235.8 bn, a fall of 16.3% compared with October 2022 (€281.6 bn). As a result, the euro area recorded a €11.1 bn surplus in trade in goods with the rest of the world in October 2023, compared with a deficit of €28.7 bn in October 2022.
