The national index was unchanged month over month in October. Prices were down or unchanged in 22 of the 27 census metropolitan areas (CMAs) surveyed and up in the remaining 5. New home prices decreased the most month over month in the CMAs of Kelowna, Hamilton, and Sherbrooke (each down 0.4% in October), with builders reporting weak market conditions as the reason for the declines.
